Health in the Canary Islands is at the European level in terms of quality standards. The Canary Islands have modern and efficient health facilities: hospitals, centres of medical research, centres of primary healthcare and geriatric centres.
There are over100 health centres for primary healthcare, located all over the Islands, although of course the majority of these centres are in the two most important islands.
Furthermore, the Canary Islands have14 public hospitals and 25 private ones, which attend to the resident and visiting population with the highest levels of quality and service.
Thanks to this infrastructure and the staff, the citizens of the Islands enjoy health services which cover the entire population.
